We believe you’re right to do so. If you own a diesel engine you’ll probably know that when the engine gets cold, the car doesn’t start. That’s where glow plugs come in. Unlike petrol engines which require spark plugs to get started, diesel engines need something a little different. In order to raise the temperature to a point where the diesel will combust, compression is needed, hence glow plugs.
